my Ecthelion is not really pallor of grey...more like.. determined to take out the bloody bastard before the end ;) The whole helmet spike impaling thing is kind of weird, but I made the helmet somewhat pointy. The shape and the eyeslits should remind of the fake corinthian helmets triarii used, I hoped it would look sort of ancient. It's a totally different age than I usually paint.
Anyway, I struggled with this one quite a bit. He's a cool character and I wanted..not to frak him up entirely ;)

I think you perfectly capture the grim determination in his face. It would be his final battle, and what a foe he conquered

Ecthelion! Augh, this is brilliant. I really like the armor and helm designs, they do give that ancient quality to the piece.

This scene in th book is amazing:)
You did a wonderful job at portraying it! I love how you used lightning here. His expression is very good too.
